By accessing or using the OreGO Rentals website (oregorentals.com) or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
2. Eligibility
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must hold a valid, unexpired U.S. driver's license or international driving permit paired with a foreign license
Must have an acceptable driving record (no DUIs, no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years, no suspended/revoked license history)
Must provide a valid credit or debit card in the renter's name
Must complete identity verification via Stripe Identity before vehicle pickup
Renters aged 21–24 may be subject to a Young Driver Surcharge of $15/day
Additional authorized drivers must meet all the same requirements and be added to the reservation before trip start. Unauthorized drivers void all insurance coverage.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate, current information
You are responsible for maintaining account security
You must notify us immediately of unauthorized access
One account per person; accounts are non-transferable
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations
4. Reservations & Booking
Reservations are subject to vehicle availability
Prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change until booking is confirmed
Dynamic pricing may apply based on demand, season, and booking window
Promotional codes are subject to their specific terms and may not be combined
A reservation confirmation does not guarantee a specific vehicle — we reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equal or greater class if the reserved vehicle becomes unavailable
Bookings are confirmed only upon successful payment processing
5. Pricing, Payment & Deposits
Full payment is required at time of booking via credit card, debit card, or approved payment method through Stripe
A security deposit authorization of up to $500 may be placed on your payment method at booking or vehicle pickup. This hold is released within 5–10 business days after vehicle return, subject to damage assessment.
You authorize OreGO Rentals to charge your payment method on file for: the rental amount, any applicable fees, tolls, traffic violations, fuel replacement charges, damage costs, cleaning fees, late return fees, and any other charges incurred during or arising from your rental period
All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes and fees unless otherwise stated
Service fees are non-refundable
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup. Within 48 hours of pickup: 1 day's rate retained. No-show: full charge. Refunds processed within 5-10 business days.
Free cancellation: 48+ hours before scheduled pickup — full refund
Late cancellation: Within 48 hours of scheduled pickup — one day's rate retained
No-show: Full charge applies if you fail to pick up the vehicle
Early returns: No refund for unused days unless the remaining rental period is 3+ days, in which case a prorated refund (minus a $25 early return processing fee) may be issued at our discretion
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days
7. Vehicle Pickup & Return
Free delivery to Portland International Airport (PDX), select downtown Portland hotels, and designated pickup locations within the Portland metro area
You must complete a pre-trip vehicle inspection using our app/website, including photo documentation of all vehicle angles, odometer, and fuel level
Upon return, you must complete a post-trip inspection. Failure to complete the return inspection may result in additional charges if damage is later discovered.
Vehicles must be returned at the agreed-upon date, time, and location
Late returns: A grace period of 30 minutes applies. Returns exceeding 30 minutes late will be charged at an hourly rate (1/4 of the daily rate per hour). Returns exceeding 3 hours late will be charged a full additional day. Returns exceeding 24 hours late without communication may be reported as unauthorized use.
Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup (+/- 1/8 tank). A fuel replacement fee of $5.00/gallon (or equivalent for EVs at $0.35/kWh) will be charged for missing fuel/charge.
A cleaning fee of up to $150 may be charged if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty, or up to $350 for smoke/pet odor remediation
8. Vehicle Use Policy
Permitted use: Personal transportation within the State of Oregon and immediately adjacent states (Washington, Idaho, California, Nevada) with prior notification.
Prohibited uses (any violation voids all insurance coverage and makes you fully liable):
Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance
Off-road driving (unless vehicle is specifically designated for such use)
Racing, speed testing, or reckless driving
Use for hire (rideshare, taxi, commercial delivery)
Subleasing, subletting, or allowing unauthorized drivers
Transporting hazardous materials
Towing or pushing anything
Driving on unpaved roads (unless specifically permitted)
Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle
Transporting pets without prior approval and a pet protection add-on
Leaving the approved geographic area without written authorization
Using the vehicle in violation of any law
Tampering with the odometer, GPS, or any vehicle monitoring systems
9. Mileage
Standard rentals include 200 miles per day
Weekly rentals (7+ days) include 1,200 miles per week
Monthly rentals (30+ days) include 4,000 miles per month
Unlimited Mileage add-on available at booking
Excess mileage is charged per the rate disclosed at booking (default: $0.35/mile unless otherwise specified on the vehicle listing)
10. Insurance & Protection
All rentals include basic liability insurance meeting Oregon state minimum requirements (ORS 806.060)
Collision and physical damage coverage is NOT included in the base rental rate. Renters must, at checkout, either (a) purchase optional coverage from our insurance partner (Bonzah) starting at $6.90/day, or (b) confirm and verify their own qualifying personal auto insurance policy
If the renter elects to use their own personal auto insurance, the standard collision deductible may be up to $2,500 and is the renter's responsibility
Optional Bonzah products include CDW, RCLI, SLI, and PAI in 24-hour increments (max 30 days). Coverage details, exclusions, and claims are administered by Bonzah
Insurance coverage is void if the renter violates any Prohibited Use term
Renter's personal auto insurance may provide primary or secondary coverage — consult your insurer before declining optional protection
11. Damage, Accidents & Incident Reporting
You must report ALL accidents, damage, theft, or vandalism immediately by calling (703) 201-8218 and filing a police report
Do not repair or have repairs made to the vehicle without our written authorization
You are liable for all damage to the vehicle during your rental period, subject to insurance coverage
Damage assessment is based on pre-trip and post-trip photo inspections
Diminished value claims may apply for vehicles with significant damage history
Loss-of-use charges apply for the duration the vehicle is unavailable for rental due to damage (charged at the daily rate)
Administrative fees of up to $150 may apply for processing damage claims
12. Traffic Violations & Tolls
You are responsible for all traffic and parking violations incurred during your rental
We will pass through toll charges plus a $5 processing fee per toll
If we receive a citation, we will charge your payment method and may add a $25 administrative processing fee
Accumulation of serious violations may result in account suspension
13. Trip Extensions
Extensions are subject to vehicle availability
Extension requests must be submitted through the platform before the current return time
Extensions are charged at the applicable daily rate at time of extension
Failure to return the vehicle by the agreed-upon time (original or extended) constitutes unauthorized use
14. Intellectual Property
All content on oregorentals.com — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of OreGO Rentals LLC and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
15. User Content & Reviews
By submitting reviews, photos, or other content, you grant OreGO Rentals a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute that content
Reviews must be honest and based on actual rental experience
We reserve the right to remove content that is defamatory, fraudulent, or violates these Terms
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OREGO RENTALS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific rental giving rise to the claim
We are not liable for: personal belongings left in vehicles, delays caused by mechanical failure or force majeure, third-party actions, or data loss
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OreGO Rentals LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from: your use of the vehicle, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or any third-party claim related to your rental.
18. Dispute Resolution
Informal resolution: Before filing any claim, you must contact us at admin@oregorentals.com and allow 30 days for resolution
Arbitration: Any unresolved disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in Portland, Oregon
Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits
Small claims exception: Either party may bring claims in small claims court in Multnomah County, Oregon, if the claim qualifies
Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon
19. Force Majeure
OreGO Rentals shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, strikes, or supply chain disruptions.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Rental Agreement, Privacy Policy, and any booking-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and OreGO Rentals.
